Why give to CSL?

Your donations to CSL go a long way toward helping children in our community. We ourselves are an all-volunteer organization with an administrative overhead of under 5%. Each year, our dedicated research committee reviews up to 50 grant applications from non-profit agencies dedicated to helping children in need in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

CSL evaluates many aspects of each application, including history and effectiveness, number of children served, types of programs offered, the needs they address, percentage of budget going to administration and fund raising, and other sources of funding.

In short, we do our best to ensure that the dollars we grant to these agencies are directed to help children in our community. CSL has been raising funds for East Bay children for twenty years, and the need continues to grow.
